Meg Bannick

Education Grant Round Leader

Meg’s passion for education and serving students with different learning styles and abilities was shaped early growing up in close sisterhood with her older sibling with Down Syndrome. She has worked in various roles to advance and promote opportunities for underserved populations. Most recently, Meg served as volunteer tutor, literacy curriculum advisor, and advisory board member to an after school and summer enrichment program in East Palo Alto. She joined SV2 in 2019 and will be co-leading the Education Grant Round in 2021.

Meg holds a Masters in Education from Lesley University and a BA in Biology from Bowdoin College. She has three adult sons and lives in Santa Cruz County. When not tutoring students in English Language Arts, Meg is an avid reader and also enjoys swimming, walking the beach and time with friends and family.
