Lucy Caldwell Donovan
SV2 Board Member
Lucy Donovan joined SV2 in 2009 and was elected to the Board in 2014. She has been actively involved in the Education and At Risk Youth grant rounds, works closely with the partner organization IDEO.org and is lead Partner for our grantee, Art of Yoga. As an SV2 board member, she is focused on bringing research insights from the world of academia and her user-centered business expertise to philanthropy and impact investing, helping enrich the lives of children, families and communities.
Lucy is fascinated by human behavior and the process by which change is accomplished, both at an individual level and also within organizations and society at large. She kindled this interest at Stanford University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Psychology. Realizing that all exceptional design/interventions must include an understanding of users and the drivers that influence their behavior, Lucy pursued a high tech career at Hewlett Packard, where she became a champion of design thinking and helped HP create and deliver a user-focused, globally consistent Internet presence.
In her spare time, Lucy enjoys dance, fitness, art, music festivals, hiking, yoga, down-hill skiing, attending TED conferences, and adventurous travel of all varieties.
