Lisa Van Dusen

Lisa manages SV2’s Partner recruitment, revenue diversification and strategic relationships. She has been instrumental in leading SV2’s new initiatives, including impact investing and advocacy, and new experiential learning programs. She joined SV2 in August 2013 and brings a 25-year career spanning marketing, media, business development, social innovation and leadership development.
Lisa helped create breakthrough business models at two Silicon Valley media ventures – at the Palo Alto Weekly, she helped make this the first newspaper to publish its entire contents on the Web and led Palo Alto Online; and at Cable Co-op, a subscriber-owned cable franchise, she helped introduce novel data transmission technologies.
Most recently, Lisa relaunched and co-directed Leadership Palo Alto, a leadership development program for emerging civic leaders. In addition, she created First Person, a video interview series with Silicon Valley trailblazers.
A life-long environmentalist and arts advocate, Lisa serves on the boards of the Carbon Zero Institute and the Palo Alto Art Center, as well as on the Palo Alto Innovation Council. She has held leadership positions at a wide range of nonprofit and civic organizations, including Planned Parenthood, Free The Children and Friends of the River.
She holds a B.A. from Brown University and a certificate in Innovation Leadership from California College of the Arts
