SV2 Kids: Decorate Bags of Hope with Hope’s Corner

Please join SV2 Kids for a virtual event with Hope’s Corner on Saturday, March 13, from 2:00pm-3:00pm. We’ll gather together online to decorate Bags of Hope, which are paper grocery bags that Hope’s Corner uses to distribute ‘to go’ meals to over 500 community members each week. Learn more about Hope’s Corner’s ongoing efforts to support the community through the pandemic here.

During our event, we’ll gather on Zoom to catch up with each other, learn about Hope’s Corner from Alice Wu Cota, Head of Volunteers, and then work together, from our homes, to decorate Bags of Hope with colorful designs and messages to help brighten people’s day.

The bags can be decorated with crayons, markers, colored pencils, or watercolors (bags with stickers, feathers, or glitter cannot be used). Families can pick up blank grocery bags from Lucinda’s house the week before the event. After our event, the decorated Bags of Hope can be dropped off with Lucinda and she will drop them off with Hope’s Corner. Alternative pick-up or drop-off times and locations can also be coordinated.

We hope you can join us for this special opportunity to spread cheer to our neighbors served by Hope’s Corner.
