All SV2 Partner families with children 7th grade or younger are welcome to join us at My New Red Shoes – always a favorite SV2 Kids event!
We will convene at My New Red Shoes, which is located in the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits (330 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City CA). We’ll volunteer at My New Red Shoes from 9:00am – 11:00am, and gather for cookies and conversation afterwards in the SV2 office in the building next door (350 Twin Dolphin Drive, Suite 103).
About My New Red Shoes:
My New Red Shoes helps homeless and low-income children look and feel confident as they start the school year by providing them with new clothing and shoes and by rallying youth and adults around this effort through volunteer and educational opportunities for individuals, families, schools, corporations, and community groups. This past year, with support from caring donors, My New Red Shoes was able to provide brand new school shoes and clothing to more than 6,500 Bay Area children living in poverty.
Volunteer activities are personalized for each group’s age and size, and may include drawing first day cards, cutting fabric, organizing and counting inventory, designing gift bags, ironing fabric, and sewing gift bags.
