SVPI Chair to share a framework for giving amidst COVID-19

We are delighted to welcome Social Venture Partners International  Board Chair Sofia Michelakis as our special guest. In addition to her long-term engagement as a Partner with SVPI Seattle, Sofia currently serves as a Deputy Director at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where she leads a team dedicated to the Giving Pledge. Sofia will kickstart our meeting with a framework for thinking about your individual giving during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Road Ahead for SV2

Following Sofia’s presentation, we will discuss the road ahead for SV2 next year.  We are excited about plans to further connect Partners, broadening and deepening our community this summer and throughout next year. Based on your feedback from the Partner survey and opportunities for social impact, we will also discuss grant-making, impact investing and learning session plans for our upcoming fiscal year.

Turbulence Brings  Emerging Possibilities

In this time of great turbulence, there are also emerging possibilities. As venture philanthropists, our SV2 community will continue to reshape giving practices and accelerate the innovation of social ventures delivering new value in new ways. We look forward to gathering together to discuss opportunities for learning and giving in the year ahead.
