A new SV2 Partner Interest Circle is forming, focused on the Environment. The first meeting was in late March and the next meeting is Monday, April 29 from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the SV2 office. Over the next two meetings, we will define the mission, purpose and outcomes of the Interest Circle. Here is where our thinking has taken us so far: The Interest Circle would provide learning that would lead to taking action through philanthropy, advocacy or impact investing or some combination thereof. We might do things together, possibly investing or philanthropy, or taking field trips or going to political, philanthropy, or investing events. We will narrow the focus of the group to something within these expressed interests: climate change including adaptation, mitigation, and energy use; water, including conservation of freshwater and its delivery, healthy oceans; conservation and sustainability; education about environmental issues.
