Applying an Advocacy Lens to your Own Giving
In this third and final session of our three-part “Advocacy is Everywhere” series, we will explore practical and applied advocacy and delve deeper into what personal engagement with advocacy can look like.
In the first part of this session, Alexandra Aker-Lyons will moderate a panel discussion with SV2 partners Marcia Pade, Charlene Kabcenell, and Rick Tinsley to discuss their personal journeys to incorporating advocacy into their philanthropic toolkits and issue areas. In the second half of the workshop, we will turn to assessing existing personal advocacy funding practices such that desired outcomes for individual issues areas, funding for them and the right vehicles to do so are strategically aligned.
