Nonprofit Board Leadership program
SV2 is committed to helping our Partners and other interested community members learn how to serve as great board members at nonprofits. To accomplish this goal, we offer Board Fellowships, as well as Workshops and Roundtables.
Board Fellowships:
All SV2 Partners are eligible to get hands-on board experience by serving as a Fellow for a year on a past SV2 grantee board. This year’s participating organizations include Fresh Lifelines for Youth and Reading Partners.
Workshops and Roundtables:
SV2 periodically hosts large workshops or small roundtable discussions for Partners and community members who are curious about how they can add value to a nonprofit through board service. Attendees gain information about whether board leadership is a good fit for them, how to get started, and how to become better board members over time. Serving as an SV2 Board Fellow at Loaves & Fishes has been an amazing way for me to become an integral part of the inner workings of a non-profit organization for one year.
