Kim Meredith

Kim Meredith joined SV2 in 2009. She has participated in the Partner Advisory Board and the Education grant round, and she even spoke at one of our First Fridays!

Ms. Meredith joined the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society as their Executive Director on July 1st, 2009. The mission of the PACS Center is to engage students, faculty and practitioners to examine ways in which philanthropic institutions, nonprofit organization and other key elements of civil society work to define and address public interests, both in the United States and abroad.

Ms. Meredith most recently served as the Chief Development Officer for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Kim and her development staff raise the restricted and unrestricted revenue to support the national office program work for public policy, advocacy, online, affiliate services, litigation, new business and international. Kim and her team also funded the Planned Parenthood Action Fund for the 2008 election cycle. PPFA is the leader of the reproductive rights movement and health care serving 3 million patients, engaging 4 million advocates, and serving 15 million clients online.

Immediately prior to joining PPFA in September 2006, Kim served for nearly 9 years as the Chief Operating Officer at Planned Parenthood Golden Gate where she was responsible the development department, medical services and human resources. Kim was the Chair of PPFA’s Development Officer’s Council from 2004 to 2006 with over 100 affiliates participating. She worked in the real estate industry for 3 years and at AT&T for nearly 10 years in San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta and Los Angeles—before, during and after the historic divestiture and deregulation.

In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the George Lucas Education Foundation. Ms. Meredith was President of the Junior League of Palo Alto Mid-Peninsula, and Board Chair for Planned Parenthood San Mateo County where she supported the Executive Director in the merger of 3 Planned Parenthood affiliates into Planned Parenthood Golden Gate.

Ms. Meredith graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics and Broadcast Communications. In 2005, she received a fellowship to attend the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders.
