Joon Yun

Joon Yun has been an SV2 partner since 2005. He led the Youth Health grant round in 2007 when Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative (BAWSI) was selected as the grantee. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Board.

Joon Yun, M.D. is President of Palo Alto Investors, a firm he joined in 1998 as the healthcare analyst.

Joon and his wife Kimberly joined SV2 in 2005, and later that year he was a grant round leader for Youth Health. He joined the SV2 Board of Trustees in 2006.

He received his A.B. at Harvard and medical degree at Duke. After completing his residency and fellowship in radiology at Stanford, he remained on the clinical faculty at Stanford in the department of radiology through 2005.

Joon has served on the board of medical companies, and has authored over 30 patents. In addition, Joon founded the Palo Alto Institute, a non-profit think tank.
