Join us for our first SV2 Kids service-learning project this school year! We’ll be decorating Halloween cookies with the residents of Lytton Gardens, a nonprofit that provides independent and assisted living to low-income seniors. We visited Lytton Gardens two years ago and had a fabulous time! Lytton Gardens will provide the cookies - we ask that you please bring Halloween frosting, sprinkles, and candy to decorate the cookies.
Sunday, Oct. 21
1:15-3:15pm
Lytton Gardens: 437 Webster St, Palo Alto 94301
Please make sure you arrive on time, because we’ll kick off the year with a very special presentation from some SV2 Teens about why philanthropy is so important. We’ll also explain an innovation to help the kids be even more engaged in philanthropy this year -- at the end of the year we’ll give away a small grant to one of the 4 nonprofits we visited. In order to vote, kids will need to have come to at least half the SV2 Kids activities this year (2 out of 4).
The SV2 Kids Service-Learning projects are designed for kids ages 4-12, and their parents, to give service and learn about important social issues. All SV2 Partners who love kids are welcome to attend – please RSVP to rsvp@sv2.org.
