SV2's Current Grants (2009)

  • The Reach Institute for School Leadership was awarded $150,000 over three years to build a new Teacher Leadership master's degree program in addition to the induction and mentoring programs it already runs in small, innovative, high-need schools in the Bay Area.

  • The National Foster Youth Action Network (NFYAN) was awarded $100,000 over three years to take the successful California Youth Connection model of foster youth leadership and empowerment to scale with interested partner organizations nationwide.

  • The Awaso Academy being built in Awaso, Ghana was awarded $5,000 by our first-ever grantmaking group of SV2 Teens -- children and close family members of our Partners. Congratulations and special thanks to everyone who made this inaugural year of SV2 Teens such a success!
